Stella Adrian Marquis, born September 10, 1930, born to parents Gabriel and Florida Savoie of Amesbury, Massachusetts passed away on January 30, 2024 in Heiskell, Tennessee peacefully at 93 years old.

Stella grew up in Amesbury and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School during her childhood. She married Raymond A. Marquis of Haverhill, Massachusetts on March 17, 1951 at Sacred Heart Church, Amesbury, Massachusetts.  They were married for 58 years until Raymond’s death from complications from Alzheimer’s disease on April 17, 2009. 

Stella worked for Western Electric at the Merrimack Valley Works in North Andover, Massachusetts from 1957 – 1985 working in the crystal department and worked her way to become a layout operator before retiring.  

She and her husband were residents of Plaistow, New Hampshire from 1957 – 1985 where they raised three children: Diane A. Denny; Raymond A. Marquis, Jr. and Ronald D. Marquis. She was a resident with her husband in Lakeland, Florida from 1992 to 2021.  She moved to Tennessee to be with her daughter who is a nurse due to declining health.  

Stella enjoyed playing golf; and was very talented in oil painting.  She is survived by her three children, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  She is missed by her family and friends. 

A private burial service is planned for the immediate family this fall 2024.
