Richard "Dick" Gonthier, 85, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. Born on January 14, 1940, he was the longtime proprietor of Gonthier's Service Station, which he operated for forty years. A proud veteran, Dick honorably served in the United States Air Force. 

  He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Suzanne (Laflamme) Gonthier. Dick leaves behind his five children: Michael Gonthier and his wife Chris, of South Hampton, NH, Andre Gonthier and Dianne, of E. Kingston, NH, Richard Gonthier and Vicki of Newton, NH, David Gonthier and Susan of Amesbury, MA, Marie Pupecki and her husband Joseph of Hanover, ME. He was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara McPartland of Amesbury. 

  Dick will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his work, and his great sense of humor. His kindness, hard work, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

  His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday Feb. 5, 2025 at 10:30 am in the St. Andre Bessette Church 2 School St. in Amesbury. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
