Mary F. Sayward, 80, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. She was born in Newburyport, MA. on December 29, 1943, beloved daughter of the late William and Beatrice Welch. She was the wife of the late Raymond Sayward who passed away in 2019. 

   She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and touched the lives of everyone who knew her, Mary had worked as an Administrative Assist. at Port Healthcare and Rehab in Newburyport.  She loved to sing, shop, and make memories with her grandson, family, and friends. 

   Mary is survived by her daughter Melissa O'Rourke and son-in-law Jay of Haverhill, MA., and her grandson Shamus O'Rurke. She was the mother of the late Marci Lyn Sayward. She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Walsh of Rye beach, NH., Kathleen Pritchard of Billerica, MA., her brothers Jack Welch of Nottingham, NH., and William Welch II of Amesbury, MA., her sister-in-law Candace Welch and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Barbie Hodges of Amherst, NH., and Arthur P. Welch of Newburyport, MA..   

   Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home 118 Friend St. in Amesbury are Tuesday Nov. 26, 2024 from 5-7 pm. A graveside for Mary will be held on Wednesday Nov. 27, 2024 at 11:00 am in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Newburyport, MA. All are welcome.
