Mark Dandurant, a lifelong resident of Amesbury at the age of 63 passed away at his home on April 8 after a lengthy illness. He was born on November 14, 1962 and was the son of Paul and Aline Dandurant. He attended Sacred Heart School, Amesbury Middle and High School.
Mark followed his fathers career path and was a Local 4 heavy equipment operator and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for 28 years. Up until his medical retirement he worked for the Dow Company for over 20 years.
Mark was a muscle car and motorcycle enthusiast. Over the years he had owned a number of cars, trucks and motorcycles. He was in the middle of finishing restoring the car his brother Michael started back in Arizona and never got to finish because he passed away in May of 2025. One of Mark's favorite things to do was to take long rides on his bike on a nice day with his brother and friends to Bentley's Saloon in Arundel. He also loved to bring his camper there and spend weekends.
Mark leaves behind his brother and best friend Tim from Kingston, sister Pauline Daniels and her husband Todd from Seabrook, Teresa Dandurant and her fiancé Larry Drew from Amesbury and Donna Tessimond and her husband Earl from Hampton. Also, several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved dog Cash. Mark was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers, Dean who passed in 2003, Philip who passed in 2024 and Michael who passed just 10 months ago.
A funeral mass will be celebrated for Mark and his brother Michael on Saturday April 25th at Saint Andre Bessette at 10:00, 2 School St. in Amesbury. Burial will follow in St. Joseph cemetery.. At that time Mark will be buried with his brother Michael.
