Judith R. (Wilkinson) Vedrani

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith R. (Wilkinson) Vedrani, 78, of Sandown, NH. Judy passed away peacefully on June 30th, surrounded by her loving family after a short and courageous battle with cancer. 

Judy was born on January 1, 1947, in Haverhill, MA. She was the daughter of the late Theresa (Ouellette) and William Wilkinson and the oldest of five children. Judy graduated from Haverhill High School in 1964 and began her career at Grad’s Department Store in Haverhill. It was shortly after that she met the love of her life, Norman Vedrani. They shared 58 wonderful years together and raised two children in Salisbury, MA. 

Judy was a devoted wife, mother, Meme, sister, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. 

Judy had a thriving career as a bank manager at Newburyport Bank for 20+ years, where she made many lasting friendships that continued well after her retirement. After retiring, Judy and her husband spent 13 years enjoying life in sunny Florida before moving back to New England in 2022. 

Judy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, with whom she made lifelong memories. She enjoyed camping, traveling to national parks and Caribbean islands, summer vacations on Pine River Pond, and attending horse shows. She also loved shopping, caring for her beautifully kept homes, and decorating during the holiday seasons. Later in life, she enjoyed intricate coloring and was an avid reader. Above all, her greatest joy came from time spent with her three grandchildren. 

Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Norman. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brian (wife Victoria) and Laura (husband Robert); her three beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn (fiancé Connor), Kristen (husband Andrew), and Nathan (girlfriend Alexis); and her sisters June, Jean, Janet, and Jacquelyn. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends Judy, Sue, and Carol. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Wilkinson (1986) and Theresa R. Wilkinson (2020), and her brother, William “Bill” Wilkinson (2023). 

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on July 14th. at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andre Bessette Parish Church, 2 School St., Amesbury, MA, followed by burial at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Amesbury. A reception will follow at the church function hall.
