Jeffrey French Obituary

Jeffrey French, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home on Point Shore on September 5, 2024. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, Jeffrey was known for his warmth, kindness, and his deep love for family and friends.

Born and raised in Amesbury, Jeffrey was passionate about boating, spending countless hours on the waters of the Merrimack River, whether it was boating to Crane's Beach or visiting the Polish Club. These were some of his most cherished memories, shared with those he loved.

He also had a passion for golf, enjoying time on the course participating in various golf leagues amongst friends. Jeffrey found joy in the game and the camaraderie it brought, making the golf course a place where he built many lifelong friendships.

Jeffrey adored his granddaughter, Olivia, and enjoyed spoiling her with shopping trips and special treats. His love for his family and his generous spirit were constants throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving partner, Linda Wallaga; his daughter, Lyndsey French; his son, Nathaniel French; his cherished granddaughter, Olivia Coffman; his mother, Judith Simpson; his brother, Jonathan French and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George French.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Polish Club, 14 Mill Street, Amesbury, MA 01913, where friends and family will gather to share memories and honor Jeffrey’s legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to lungstrong.org in Jeffrey’s memory.

Jeffrey’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, joy, and compassion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
