James H. Robicheau, 78, of Amesbury, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Saturday October 18th, 2025.
Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on February 5th, 1947, James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy Seabees, seeing combat during the Vietnam War. Following his Navy service, he continued his commitment to his country as a member of the Massachusetts National Guard, from which he later retired.
James worked for many years as a welder for Waste Management, where his strong work ethic and steady hands earned the respect of his coworkers and friends.
James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Cheryl Robicheau, and his five sons, Kevin Robicheau, and his wife Cammie-Marie, Marc Thompson and his wife Missy, Andrew Robicheau and his wife Kristan, Ryan Robicheau, and Justin Robicheau and his wife Ruth. James leaves behind five grandchildren, Ryanne, Jacob, Madison, Cameron and Tyler, and many dear friends. James was pre-deceased by his brother John Mendalka, and sisters Carol Bernhard and Phyllis Ayers.
Those who knew James will remember him for his unwavering sense of duty, his loyalty to family, and his quiet sense of humor. He took great pride in his service to Country, his work, and most of all, the family he built.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at E.V. Jutras and Sons Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00 pm at 118 Friend Street, Amesbury, Massachusetts. A burial service will be held at Union Cemetery at Amesbury, Massachusetts with full military honors on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at 11:00 am.
