James M. Krafton
February 10, 1937 – September 27, 2024
James M. Krafton of Amesbury, passed away peacefully, at home. James was born on February 10, 1937, in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Isabelle and Joseph Krafton. James was an avid outdoorsman and had a keen eye for the beauty of nature and instilled that allure to all he loved. James was a devout Catholic above all and infused that into every aspect of his life, especially his Family.
James was married to his predeceased loving wife Margaret J.C. (Stuart) Krafton of Amesbury. James and Margaret settled in Amesbury for the next 55+ years, where they raised their eight children. James is survived by his eight children and their spouses, David and Cindy Krafton of Salisbury, Steven and Dawn Krafton of Epping, N.H., Christopher Krafton of Amesbury, Margaret and David Santosuosso of South Hampton, N.H., Timothy and Erin Krafton of E. Wakefield, N.H., Michael and Christa Krafton of Raymond, N.H., Jonathan Krafton of Haverhill, and Matthew and Shane Krafton of E. Wakefield, N.H. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, James, Benjamin, Daniel, Anastasia, Joseph, Amy, Katlyn, Margaret, Jesse, Casey, Christopher, Holly, Joshua, Nathaniel, Rebecca, Vale, Samantha, Grace, and Matthew; as well as 6 great-grandchildren, Margaret, Juliana, Bristol, Reece, Raylyn and Jaxon. James also leaves behind his sisters, Mary, Anne and Helen. Along with his brother Thomas, as well as several nieces and nephews. James is predeceased by his brother Joseph and sister Barbara.
Calling hours for James will be held Tuesday, October 1st, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury, MA. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 10 a.m. in the Saint Joseph Church of Saint Andre Bessette Parish, 2 School St. in Amesbury followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
