James E. “Jim/Eddie” Haley, 67, of Amesbury, MA, passed away on July 30, 2025, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire, with his wife Julia Brunni Haley by his side.
Born in Boston on May 22, 1958, Jim was the son of James and Marina (White) Haley. He had a long career as a District Manager of big box retailers including Big Lots and Sports Authority. His job at Sports Authority gave Jim and Julia the opportunity to live in Chicago, Seattle, and eventually back home in Massachusetts, where they made many wonderful memories together.
Jim was an avid Red Sox fan, as well as a Celtics, Patriots, and Bruins fan. He enjoyed Caribbean cruises and watching live music.
Jim is survived by his siblings: John Haley (Kathy) of Norfolk, MA, Annette Prout (Steve) Southport, NC, and Robert Haley (Christine) of Watertown, MA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Keith, Sean, Scott, Kristen, John and Katie; Great nieces and nephew: Zooey, Brooklynn, and Jaxson. Aunts: Mary and Kay; as well as many adoring cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Michael Prout.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
