Gerard A. LaValley Obituary

Seabrook, NH — Gerard A. LaValley, was resident of Amesbury, MA until 1999 when he moved to Seabrook, NH where he passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. 


Born in Amesbury on February 27, 1935, he was one of five children of the late Joseph C. and Grizilda (LeTendre) LaValley Jr.  He was raised in Amesbury and attended Amesbury High School.  Jerry was a proud 60-year member of International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 4. He was a member of the Newburyport Chapter #14 of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. Jerry enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He was an avid sports enthusiast and greatly enjoyed manicuring his yard. 


   Along with his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother, Aldage LaValley, his two sisters, Jeanette Woodworth and Evelyn Page. 


  Jerry will be forever remembered and loved by his wife of 68 years, Mary (Willette) LaValley; his brother Daniel LaValley, his three children: Richard LaValley and his wife Barbara, Debra LaValley and her financee Richard Livermore, Cindy Ryan and her husband Peter 


  Eight grandchildren: Stephanie Bibeau and her partner Danny Urbancyk, Kevin LaValley and his wife Danielle, Amanda Bibeau, Nicole Conrad and her husband Matthew, Andrew Bibeau and his wife Mayara, Sean Ryan and his partner Carmen Cusick, Carly Ryan, Adam Ryan and his partner Leah Gagnon; great-grandchildren: Allison, Annabelle, Caroline, Thomas, Louis, Raymond, Noah, James, Luke, Olivia, Kayleigh, Mason, Eva, Bennett, Sean and Maia and many nieces and nephews. 


  In lieu of flowers, those who wish, memorial contributions in Jerry’s memory can be made to­­:  American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association 


  Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home 118 Friend St. in Amesbury are Monday October 28 from 4-7 pm. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday October 29 at 9:00 am in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church 321 S. Broadway Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the St Joseph's Cemetery in Amesbury.
