Doris Levesque, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2024, at the age of 90. A lifelong resident of Amesbury, Doris was born on April 20, 1934, and spent her life dedicated to her family and creating a home filled with love and warmth. Doris shared an extraordinary 72-year marriage with her husband, Robert Levesque. Together, they built a life centered on family, joy, and togetherness. Their happiest moments were spent surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, celebrating milestones, and cherishing the simple joys of life. Doris is survived by her children, Gayle Hamilton and her partner Kevin Groden, Denise McCoy and her husband Kevin McCoy, and Stephen Levesque. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Julie Walton and her husband Curt, Jamie Haberland and her husband Jason, Robbie Levesque, Michael Levesque and his partner Amber, Kevin Levesque, Sara Levesque, Chris Adams and his wife Carolyn, and beloved friend Jason Lewis. Doris’s legacy continues through her beloved great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Jaelyn, Shyla, Lily, Sam, Vivianna, Olive, Austin, Cole, and Isabella.
Doris was preceded in death by her sister Mary Gosens, brothers Everett Burke and William Burke, her son Bobby Levesque, her grandson Christopher Levesque, and her daughter-in-law Patricia Levesque. Doris’s passions were rooted in family and the joys of togetherness. She loved spending time at the family swimming pool, golfing with friends, and escaping the cold New England winters in Florida. Her unwavering love, everlasting support, and joyful spirit made her the heart of her family. Doris’s love and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
